STANDINGS
Norvan FC Campobasso is a community-based North Vancouver soccer club. Established in 2009, our team was created with the goal of fostering local talent into a winning product on the field.
Our team name has two significances:
1) NVFC – we are part of Norvan FC, the men's segment of the North Vancouver Football Club.
2) Campobasso – the capital city of Molise, Italy, but also a former championship soccer team in the ICSF Italian League. With our team’s founders all having ties to this region, we wanted to pay tribute to our heritage and also the former soccer dynasty that dominated the lower mainland for many years. We wish to create our own dynasty here on the North Shore.
Our team participates in both the Vancouver Metro Soccer League (VMSL) and the North Shore Sportsman's League (NSSL). Since our inception our squad has achieved great accomplishments, including a 2010/2011 VMSL Division 3 Championship this past season with a 16-1-1 record; this in only our second year of existence. We now have our sites set on reaching the upper echelon of BC soccer.
